The CMU-FMS Team (part of the IHMC team) is developing an AC that provides real-time measures of cognitive load and probability of forgetting. Those measures are grounded in declarative memory processes of the ACT-R cognitive architecture. Both measures are provided at the individual and team level. The measure of probability of forgetting is also provided for the aggregate as well as individual memory items. Measures are provided at both specific times when memory items are created, reinforced or deleted as well as at regular time intervals. The model can be adapted to new studies by specifying the relevant memory items and the simulation events that affect their activation.
